Letter from the Founder
Over a year ago, I was sketching my first shoe design in a small journal that also held my handwritten business plan. I wasn’t entirely sure if I was doing the business side of things right, but there was one thing I knew for certain: I wanted to represent Filipinos on the global sneaker stage.
From there, things slowly snowballed. Season after season, I found myself reconnecting with my roots through the same question: “How is this linked to our culture?”
Developing shoes is no easy feat, especially in a country that is not known as a manufacturing powerhouse. But through the skill of our shoemakers and the support of our community, the process became something worth enduring. From countless sketches to multiple prototype revisions, we continue bringing pieces of our culture to life through every pair we create.
Just last month, we celebrated Siesta, our anniversary pop-up, where many of you showed up with overwhelming support. We’re deeply grateful to everyone who stayed, connected, and celebrated with us despite the scorching afternoon heat. We genuinely hope you found your meaningful pause in Siesta, because we certainly did.
We’re halfway through the year, and we’re only getting started.
With appreciation,
Evita
